Two synthetic fabrics are combined in the ArcSafe Suppression Blanketfrom Workrite (Your Uniform for Life Company). Both space-age fabricsare aramid-fiber types. The inner layer is Kevlar and the outer is NOMEXIII. Kevlar is the same aramid fiber used in combat helmets and bodyarmor. Flame-resistant NOMEX III is used as the cover to protect theKevlar core from ultraviolet degradation. Because the blankets consistof thin layers, ArcSafe blankets offer unrivaled portability and areextremely easy to maneuver in confined spaces.
