Itsautomaticranging function quickly displays the approximate line-tolinevoltage class. It provides an easy, yet reliable means for the operatorto determine if a line is: De-energized, Carrying lessthan normal systemvoltage from any source or induced charged from an adjacent livecircuit. Energized at full system voltage. Simple to operate, thetester attaches to an Epoxy glass universal handle of appropriate length to maintain proper OSHA workingclearances. A single pushbutton activates the instrument, then a singlelight indicates either Power On (by glowing solid) or LowBattery (byblinking). With a good battery condition, the instrument performs aconfirming self-test by illuminating each of the 11 indicator lights inseries while emitting an alternating audible signal.
