This disc creates friction and heat as it spins, so you don't need to do any prep work with heat tools (like blow dryers, heat lamps and guns) or chemical solutions (such as gels or compounds). The disc will not gouge, mar, or dent non-heat-sensitive surfaces that lie beneath the decals.
